We are a caring community of faith, thankful for our long history serving Christ in the community. We are known as a church without walls, welcoming and serving our neighbors in many vital ways. Our large church facilities not only support weekly worship services but are dedicated to outreach ministries.
It has been said that Mission is in the DNA of First Presbyterian Church. Locally we respond with hearts and hands, and minds and money, in service to our community. Our projects include:
Hope House – every month we prepare meals for this neighborhood soup kitchen to feed the homeless, poor, and underemployed.
Seeds of Hope – a food pantry served from our Fellowship Hall that gives supplemental nutritional food to those in need while offering hospitality, education, family support, and advocacy for our neighbors.
First Nursery School –this Nursery School has been part of our ministry for over 65 years. In addition we support children’s education by housing the Universal Pre-K and day care. With the assistance of our scholarship fund participation is available to all children.
Thanksgiving Dinner – as an expression of gratitude for all God’s blessings we continue a 37 year tradition of preparing and serving free thanksgiving dinners. Many are delivered to homebound persons, while others are served at the church.
Memorial Gifts – you may make a donation to the church in memory of a loved one.
You can help us by donating to our ministry funds. In the NOTES portion please specify a particular project.
